Katie Craven

I'm Katie Craven and I teach Global Studies, US and AP US History, and Senior Seminar. I've been at OWL since the fall of 2015. While I consider myself a Minnesotan I grew up moving around quite a bit. Born a Tar Heel, moved to the Badger State, spent six years in the White Mountains, and graduated high school back in America's Dairyland, before crossing the river to the Land of 10,000 Lakes for college. History has always been an interest of mine and it seemed natural to take that love of history and work to pass it on to younger generations. When I'm not teaching I love to read, travel, and spend time with my son and dog.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts with a BA in History and University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development M.Ed. in Social Studies Education
