Dear Saint Paul Public Schools Families,
If we haven’t met yet, my name is Stacie Stanley. As your superintendent and an SPPS graduate myself, I am thrilled to be welcoming you to the new school year!
The first day of school is always an exciting milestone. It’s also OK to be a little nervous -- in my first year as SPPS superintendent, I will be experiencing my own first day of school alongside you and your students.
Our mission in Saint Paul Public Schools is to inspire students to think critically, pursue their dreams and change the world. Whether their favorite subject is math, language arts, social studies, science, art, music, physical education or something else, my goal is that your student is immersed in a school community that fosters their passion for learning and helps them know they belong.
As part of the SPPS family, I also want you to feel welcome in our schools and to feel empowered as an active partner in your student’s education. From parents to teachers to superintendents, it takes all of us working together to ensure our students are safe, supported and ready to learn.
