Open World Learning, Central High School Included in 2025 AP Honor Roll

Central, OWL named to AP School Honor Roll

Two SPPS schools were included in the 2025 AP Honor Roll.

Open World Learning Community earned a Platinum Recognition (the highest possible), and Central High School earned a Silver Recognition. Only eight percent of schools honored earned Platinum.

The AP Honor Roll recognitions are based on three metrics: College Culture (percent of students in the graduating class who took an AP exam at any point in HS); College Credit (percent of students in the graduating class who scored 3 or higher on any AP exam in high school), and College Optimization (percent of students in the graduating class who took five or more AP exams in high school).

At Open World Learning, 120 students took 243 AP tests, and 68 percent scored 3 or higher. At Central, 681 students took 1285 AP tests, with 65 percent scoring 3 or higher.

Congratulations to both schools, their staff and students!
