Five SPPS Students Named Semifinalist for National Merit Scholarship Program

Five students named semifinalist for National Merit Scholarship Program

Five Saint Paul Public Schools students have been named semifinalists for the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program, presented by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®).

Congratulations to the following SPPS students:

  • William Chatterjea (Central)
  • Jocelyn Compton (Open World Learning)
  • Audrey King (Central)
  • Anson Lind (Open World Learning)
  • Aleia Lueck (Como Senior)

There are 16,000 semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.
