Juniors – Ever thought about attending the U. S. COMPAS ArtsWork – Paid Summer Apprenticeships June 23 – August 1, 2008.  For ages 14-21 who demonstrate talent and skill in their artistic disciplines (Ceramics, Painting, Writing, Photography, Music, Stained Glass, Puppetry, Theatre, Mosaic, Drawing, Jewelry, Mask Making, Mural Painting, Sculpture, etc.).  Be part of an arts-based youth employment and training program for 6 weeks. 80 jobs available. ThreeSixty: Growing Journalists. Expanding Perspectives: 
Looking for Minnesota teens who want to ask questions and tell stories.


Intermediate Camp - June 15 - 27
    An intense, two-week, residential camp at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.  You'll livein college dorms and work with other Minnnesota teens to produce a newspaper and other media, including podcasts and video.  This camp is designed for high school students ages 15 - 20 who have some journalism experience and want to build their skills.

Introduction to Journalism - July 7 - 31
    Meets 9:30 a. m. to 2:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursday for four weeks to teach teens ages 14 - 18 the basics of journalism, including interviewing, writing in journalistic style and photojournalism.  In the newsroom and in the field, students will practice these skills and produce written and video reports.  Teachers include ThreeSixty staff and professional journalists.  The best student work will be published in ThreeSixty's on-line magazine.

Artward Bound: is the perfect program for students ages 9 - 14 who want to
explore fine and performing arts.  Classes are designed to be taken for
two, four or six weeks.  Choose your own schedule from the range of

 Monday - Friday 9a.m. - 3 p.m. ages 9 - 14; 2, 4 &6 weeks

Academic Action: provides individualized instruction in small groups for
students who need to improve their basic skills and for students who want
to be challenged in subjects they find especially interesting.  Learners
who are achieving below their potential or who have learning disabilities
can benefit from our small group tutorials; placement is by grade entering
and skill level.  Students with a special interest in a particular subject
will want to check out enrichment classes which are designed for students
at or above grade level.  June 16 - 27, June 30 - July 11 and July 14 - 25,
2008
Tuition for programs range from $300 - $550, scholarships are available.

The Minnesota Rowing Foundation and the University of Minnesota are
co-hosting summer rowing camps.


- Kids Adventure Camp (8 years and older)
   Activities will include games, teamwork exercises, learning to use the
rowing machines, rowing tank training and outings on the training barge.
       Session 1: June 9 - June 13
       Session 2: June 16 - June 20
       Session 3: June 23 - June 27
    All sessions 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.   Program Cost $150

- Youth Learn to Row (13 years and older)
   Activities include learning to use the rowing machines, indoor tank
training, rowing in the training barge and rowing in an eight person shell.
       Session 1: June 9 - June 13
       Session 2: June 16 - June 20
       Session 3: June 23 - June 27
    All sessions 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.   Program Cost $150

- Adult Learn to Row (17 years and older)
   Activities are the same as the Youth Learn to Row class but in an adult
environment.
       Session 1: M & W 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
       Session 2: T & Th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
    All sessions run June 9 - June 27    Program Cost $150
