Welcome to Music at Open School! Teacher: Ben Linde It is the goal of the Music Department at Open School that every student experience the value of music, the joy of making music, and the personal enrichment and development that comes from participating in that process. Open School offers group lessons in violin, cello, and keyboards to students in grades 3 to 12. String bass and viola will be added in 2007.  Lessons are free and instruments are provided to any student who needs one. The 70 students in our Elementary and Secondary performing groups present two concerts per year, and entertain at school events such as the spaghetti dinner, talent show, and theater productions. Our classes enjoy field trips to ballet, opera and musical performances and other cultural events.
