Every Thursday after school, eight Open Theatre actors work with Steppingstone Theatre Artist Emily Kramer on a project to promote respect and peaceful ways of resolving conflict in our school. The project is a continuation of the Planting Seeds of Change initiative begun last year. Actors are learning techniques from Forum Theatre, which uses theatre games and improvisation to create social change for oppressed people. The Peace Project Team visits ELC classrooms twice a month to teach nonviolent ways to deal with conflict.
