Scholarships - (for Seniors unless noted differently)
Coss Family Foundation Scholarship Fund of the Saint Paul Foundation Eligible applicants are high school seniors graduating from a high school in Dakota and Ramsey county and are planning to enroll at least half-time in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited, degree-granting two- or four- year college, university or technical college.
Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, unusual personal or famliy circumstances, a personal statement and letters of recommendation.

Constance Currie Scholarship Award Offered through the College Access Resource Center at the and Neighborhood House, eligible applicants must live or have lived, worked or volunteered on the St. Paul's West Side community, (55107 zip code), be actively involved within the West Side community or Neighborhood House pursuing a first-time post-secondary education Award are $300 to $2,500. The Puckett Scholars Program The Puckett Scholars Program is open to all Minnesota high school graduates who have been admitted to the University of Minnesota. The scholarship award is $4,000 for the first year, renewable annually for up to four years. The Jackie Robinson Scholarship The Jackie Robinson Scholarship provides $7,500 annually to historically underrepresented high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice. These scholarships are administeredin partnership with the Jackie Robinson Foundation's Education and Leadership Development Program. Toyota Community Scholars Scholarship
– 100 renewable four-year scholarships nation-wide based on academics,
leadership and community service. One student from Harding may be
nominated for this award. Applications available in 1382. Deadline:
January 4.
Gates Millennium Scholars Scholarship –
open to students of color with a 3.3 or higher GPA unweighted,
leadership, community service and extra-curricular activities, meets
the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria and is nominated by a
teacher/counselor, coach, advisor or another non-relative adult.

For Juniors – Discover Scholarship Program
– (Formerly Discover Card Tribute Award) up to ten $30,000 scholarships
based on 2.75 unweighted GPA, demonstrated community service,
leadership and “has faced a significant roadblock or challenge”. Apply

The 2008 Sam Walton Community Scholarship,
awards of $1,000 to graduating seniors not employed by WalMart or Sam’s

Minnesota State University-Mankato New Entering Freshman Scholarship
Application – for Presidential Scholar, Maverick, Graham Chemistry and
Meredith Scholar awards; based on class rank, ACT score and responses
to scholarship application. Deadline: January 15. Union Plus Scholarship Program
– for union members, spouses, and DEPENDENTS of union members. Based on
academics, character, leadership, social awareness, career goals and
financial need. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended. Essay

Minnesota Family Involvement Council Scholarship Program
– for students pursuing postsecondary education in 2008-09 who are
members of a credit union with headquarters in MN. Two $1,000 and

The Hispanic College Fund High School Scholarship Program
- for Hispanic Americans who are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Ron Brown Scholar Program For African-American -
seniors only with academic achievement, leadership ability, community

Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarship
- Selection criteria: enroll full-time Fall of 2008, financial need,
academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school
and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals
and aspirations, and an outside appraisal. Unusual personal or family
circumstances will also be considered. First generation college-bound
students and those attending a two-year college or vocational-technical
school will receive special consideration.

Southwest Minnesota State University-Marshall Access and Opportunity Scholarship -
open to seniors from Minneapolis & St. Paul Public High schools,
with 3.0 or better GPA, minimum ACT – 22 and eligible for federal
financial aid. Maximum award $6,000/year for four years for tuition,

PFund Scholarships
– $2,000 - $5,000 awards available for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or
Transgender (GLBT) students OR students from a GLBT family.

merit-based scholarships awarded to students who demonstrate
entrepreneurial spirit by starting their own business, or participate

MnACC Student of Color Scholarship –
At least 10 $500 scholarships awarded to MN high school graduates, US
citizen or Permanent Resident of ethnic minority descent, planning to

Olga B. Hart Education Foundation Scholarship
– 7 scholarships ranging from $2,000-$3,000 to graduating seniors who
plan to major in education. Requires an essay on why you believe
education is important and why you want to become an educator.

Minnesota Clean Air Choice Scholarship
– one $500 and one $250 scholarships awarded based on a personal essay
